Marathon Trainer

Personal training tracker built for a June 2025 half-marathon in Japan. Structured data, voice logging, and a dashboard that actually fits how I train.

Overview

Marathon Trainer is a custom-built training app for a June 2025 half-marathon in Japan. The whole point: Notion templates and generic fitness apps don’t cut it when you want something tailored to how you actually train.

How it works

Voice-first workout logging (dictation via SuperWhisper), structured JSON data storage, and an Astro-powered dashboard to visualise progress over time. The training plan runs across four phases — foundation, transition, build, taper — with built-in monitoring for overtraining signals.

Status

Knowledge layer is solid — training plans, protocols, and guides are all in structured JSON. The web app is early: data model is defined but not yet wired to the UI. Using the data for real training in the meantime.
